Brandon Hill is the oldest park in Bristol, where you can enjoy great views over the city and Harbourside area. There are play areas for children too. The 105ft tower is in the centre of the park. It was built in 1897 in memory of John Cabot’s. He did a famous voyage from Bristol and the continent of North America four hundred years earlier.
It is designed by the Bristol architect William Venn Gough. The tower is built from red sandstone covered with cream Bath stone. It’s free to visit. You can climb up the 109 twisting steps of the tower to enjoy stunning views across Bristol.
